Mcwilliam's Chardonnay Hanwood 2008

Member Review by vin0vin0:

Unoaked chard that doesn't have too much of anything going on. Tasted alright by itself but was totally overwhelmed by chicken chile rellenos. Not too bad for the price but nothing special.

Not bad for an under $10.00 bottle of Chard. Very fruity with a strong Melon scent. I rather liked it and enjoyed it with a Shrimp dish.

Colour: Pale straw with green hues. Aromas & Flavors: White nectarine and Fuji apple notes with layers of rich tropical fruit flavors. Hints of brown spice flavors also come through on the palate from malolactic fermentation and the oak regime. Cellaring potential: Enjoy at the time of release for its fresh fruit flavors. Suggested Pairings: Try serving this Chardonnay with grilled salmon steaks and baby new potatoes. Serving Temperature: Serve chilled (12-14C)
