Mcmanis Family Vineyards Pinot Grigio California 2010
Editorial Reviews for Mcmanis Family Vineyards Pinot Grigio California
Nicely aromatic with notes of apples, pollen, a hint of honey and a squeeze of lime. Bright and lively on entry, this has plenty of acidity on a lean, fairly well balanced frame. It’s not very complex, delivering light apple, citrus and honey flavors, but it is well balanced and refreshing with a decently long finish. I can see this pleasing a very wide audience. 85pts
Kind of sweet smelling on the nose with some key lime pie, cream, and spiced crust character backed up by some hard pear notes. Soft on entry, then this shows some intense acid that is nicely covered by slightly creamy pear, lime rind and lightly tropical fruit but that acid wins out on the finish. This has a lot going for it, the mouthwatering acid and the pleasant fruit in a moderately light package, but it's kind of simple. Good value 11.5% ABV 84pts
Nice mix of melon, pear and garden herbs. Fairly complex for a wine at this price, and better yet, it drinks so easy! 90pts
A little effervescent. Citrussy. This is like juice, very drinkable.
honeysuckle and citrus on the nose, lots of acid and citrus/apple flavors
Honey, lemon, melon, and garlic powder in the nose. The body has a gentle attack, slow rise to mid-palate, and a zestiness in the finish that's mouthwatering. The body is pretty light overall, but has some late supporting acids.
The aroma is full of citrus, pear & apple; on the palate, the wine is fresh & clean showing its citrus (grapefruit, lime) edge. Crisp, refreshing & lovely! 91pts.
Taisted and smelled like poo

Therersquo;s nice intensity and focus to the lemon and apple notes, with roasted overtones and crisp acidity. Drink now.
On the sweet side, but balanced with fresh acidity that makes the wine brisk and clean. The polished flavors are of citrus, apricots, peaches, nectarines and spicy apple sauce.
Shows this popular variety at its easy best, offering citrus, apricot and floral flavors offset by crisp acidity. Itrsquo;s not exactly sweet, though.
Apricots, grapefruits, apples, figs, peaches, melons mdash; therersquo;s a whole orchard in this dry, crisp PG. It has a particular savory character from the citrusy acids. What a great price for this wine.
Just in time for summer. Tasty and light-bodied with hints of melon and fig in a bright and refreshing style.
A fresh, flinty style, with rich lime, gooseberry, herb and mineral flavors that at points remind you of Sauvignon Blanc. A terrific value. Drink now.
From a tiny Delta appellation, a soft, easy wine with lemony, fruity flavors. It finishes with a tart, citrus aftertaste, and is dry.
