Just looking at the wine you know you're going to get a mouthful of fruit; dark, opaque and thick. The aromas blend notes of black berries, smoked spices and vanilla tinged oak. The palate echos those notes and finishes long and creamy. Outstanding effort! 93pts.

The McManis Family Vineyards Petite Sirah is vivid purple in color, with aromas of full toned Boysenberry, Cassis and Blackberry. Hazelnut and Toffee are evident in the bouquet. The wine is substantial, elegant and full of ripe black fruit flavors. These fruit flavors are savored in the mouthwatering finish, long after the wine has departed.

The 2011 offering of Petite Sirah from McManis Family Vineyards is almost black in color. While very dark in color the hue is vibrant and youthful. The nose has an abundance of ripe black fruits, predominantly Blackberry and Boysenberry. Oak aging has contributed a pleasing mélange of rich creamy caramel and maple syrup scents, with just a barely perceptible waff of smoke. The dense viscous liquid delivers all of the flavors one would expect from the aromatics. Savory and luscious the finish pleasantly persistent. - Winery ** SOLD OUT **
