Mcmanis Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon California 2008
The 2008 Cabernet Sauvignon has a purple-red color with good depth and bright youthful hues. The aromas feature ripe blackberries, fresh boysenberries and plums. The wine’s bouquet delivers cocoa powder, hazelnuts with a hint of smoke. On the pallet, flavors of succulent juicy olallieberries and creamy vanilla predominate and are joined by a waft of juniper. The flavors are supported by well integrated tannins that contribute to a long, smooth, and elegant finish.
Rating 89 . A full bodied , powerfull wine with a balance fruity background. The nose and taste are a little overpowered by the generous use of oakchips. Nevertheless a worthwhile wine!!!
Oaky and fruity on the nose. Sweet and intense on the palate. 89 pts.
Brambly dark berry/cherry flavors with a touch of sweet spice & mocha. Great buy for the price. 91 points.
I agree with NapaCabs.com comment totally! Delicious and a bargain price!

Pretty good for a ten buck red, this has proper varietal flavors of blackberries, cherries and oak, and is fullbodied and tannic. There's a rustic edge, but it will do fine with roast chicken or even macaroni and cheese.
A perennial customer favorite - and it's not hard to see why! Super-soft, amazingly easy to drink and yet packed with luscious blackberry and cassis flavors. Silky, smooth tannins round out the lingering, dry finish. All of this for under $10? No wonder it flies out of here!
Pretty good for this price, a balanced red wine, brimming with blackberry and cherry flavors, smoky oak, and the full-bodied richness you want in a Cab. Easy to find, with 76,000 cases produced.
Mirroring flavors, aromas and a bouquet of Blueberry, Blackberry, Mocha, Milk Chocolate and Toffee, give this wine a wonderful impact on the palate and nose. With the addition of a small amount of Petit Verdot and French Oak aging to further add complexity.
Appealing grapey wild berry, plum and spice notes are full-bodied and complex, with flavors that linger. Drink now.
Simple and fruity, this everyday wine will please Cab lovers who don't want to shell out big bucks. It's dry and balanced, with blackberry, currant and plum flavors and an oaky coating.
