Mcmanis Family Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon California 2005
Winemaking Notes Coupled with a deep ruby-purple color, the aroma for the 2005 has a very distinctive blackberry component that is layered with hints of clove and mocha spiciness. The fruit on the palate has a richness and density that is supported by substantial levels of tannins. A roasted heavy toast oaken finish lingers for an extended period. Technical Data: Alcohol: 13.5% Total Acidity: .6g/100ml pH: 3.64 Residual Sugar: N/A Appellation: California Fermentation: Stainless Steel Barrels: New and Used French and American Oak
Decanted 2 hours before drinking. Very smooth, quite fruity. Enjoyable, but nothing special.
Oak/Berries Flowers/Wood Aroma Medium body
Customers found very astringent, tight. Always seem to ask for more time to breathe on this cab...
This wine doesn't offend. Like a big mac. It hits the expected notes without any flurishes.
Two and a half glasses
