Mellow and nice, a good sipping wine softened and spiced by the merlot, given personality and length on the palate by the Sangiovese. Should age well. At this price, put away part of a case for a year or two and enjoy some now.

Deep color - faint scent of coffee. Feels like velvet in your mouth, then fades to a delicious finish that just makes you want more. I LOVE this wine with gnocchi and a gorgonzola pesto sauce. Rich. Deep. Delicious.

This new, well priced wine represents a partnership between the Franceschi family in Montalcino, Tuscany and Terlato in Napa. The rich blend sees Sangiovese paired with Merlot and the wine offers very nice density and purity of fruit, spice and flora... Wine Enthusiast. MAZZONI is a blend of two of the world’s greatest grape varieties created by two distinguished winemaking families. The Franceschi (Montalcino) and Terlato (Napa) partnership has flourished for more than 30 years, with each family bringing its expertise in the given variety. While the Franceschi family has produced prestigious Brunello di Montalcino for generations, the outstanding Napa Valley Merlots created by the Terlato family are widely recognized among the best in the world today. Driven by shared principles of passion for quality, respect for tradition and a steadfast belief in innovation, they have created this Super Tuscan made in a state-of-the-art winery in Montalcino. Handcrafted from estate grown fruit, it’s the perfect confluence of old and new world techniques guided by the solid foundation of family values and a desire to create world class wine today and for future generations.

Mazzoni is a blend of two of the world’s greatest grape varieties created by two distinguished winemaking families. The Franceschi (Montalcino) and Terlato (Napa) partnership has flourished for more than 30 years, with each family bringing its expertise. From estate grown fruit, it’s the perfect confluence of old and new world techniques hand crafted in a state-of-the-art winery in Montalcino. A blend of 72% Sangiovese and 28% Merlot that shows concentrated ripe dark berry aromas and flavors. The Sangiovese provides a firm backbone and substantial body, while the Merlot brings a luscious mouth feel and a lingering finish. Decant for ½ hour and enjoy it now or age it gently for 3-4 years.
