Mazzoni Rosso di Toscana 2006
Mellow and nice, a good sipping wine softened and spiced by the merlot, given personality and length on the palate by the Sangiovese. Should age well. At this price, put away part of a case for a year or two and enjoy some now.
Dolce Vita - Sangiovese blend - manager's collection
Deep color - faint scent of coffee. Feels like velvet in your mouth, then fades to a delicious finish that just makes you want more. I LOVE this wine with gnocchi and a gorgonzola pesto sauce. Rich. Deep. Delicious.
Three and a half glasses

A blend of 72% Sangiovese and 28% Merlot that shows concentrated ripe dark berry aromas and flavors. The Sangiovese provides a firm backbone and substantial body, while the Merlot brings a luscious mouth feel and a lingering finish. Decant for ½ hour and enjoy it now or age it gently for 3-4 years.
This new, well priced wine represents a partnership between the Franceschi family in Montalcino, Tuscany and Terlato in Napa. The rich blend sees Sangiovese paired with Merlot and the wine offers very nice density and purity of fruit, spice and flora... Wine Enthusiast.
