Mazzocco Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Sullivan 2009
Located in the benchlands in the heart of Dry Creek Valley, this traditionally head-trained vineyard, meticulously farmed by the Sullivan Family, produces robust, richly textured and fruit-forward Zinfandel. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented with native yeast in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine was aged for 15 months in French oak barrels and bottled unfined.

Enticing aromas of violets, black currant and blueberry meld with hints of vanilla bean, mocha and spice. This Zinfandel’s lushly-textured tannins are infused with ripe wild cherry and roasted walnuts. The finish is nicely balanced with lingering jammy flavors, dark chocolate and a dusting of cinnamon spice
