Winemaker's Notes:

Grapes from Smith Orchard vineyard, perched at 2400 feet elevation, are among the last in the Dry Creek Valley region to be harvested, resulting in a wine of immense richness with ultra-fine tannins. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented with native yeast in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine was aged for 18 months in French oak barrels and bottled unfined.

Tasting Notes:

Brambly, brilliantly floral, and spicy. An inviting array of wild blackberry, raspberry and spicy flavors persist on the mouth finishing with dabs of hibiscus and rose. The tannins are silken and plentiful ending with baking spices, vanillin oak and a smidgen of mocha.
