Winemaker's Notes:

The 2008 vintage was outstanding for Serracino Zinfandel, providing an irresistible opportunity to bottle a selected portion of the wine as a reserve. The grapes were hand-harvested and fermented with native yeast in stainless steel tanks. The resulting wine was aged for 16 months in French oak barrels and bottled unfined.

In 2005, Mazzocco was brought into the Wilson family, who were eager to add the Zinfandel vines surrounding the winery. Tasting Notes:

This highly prized 80-year-0ld head-trained Dry Creek Valley vineyard produces stellar Zinfandel. Bestowing vibrant aromatics to the nose and textured silk to the palate, this wine is sure to please your senses. Bold aromas of violet, wild cherry and licorice lead to rich layered flavors of huckleberry, molasses and baking spices. The tannins are plump, plush and spicy ending with hints of vanilla, strawberry rhubarb pie and a smidgen of mocha.
