Chocolate, leather, plum...y u m. Wine got better the longer it was open. Paid $34, and thought it well worth the price.
Perfectly ready to drink, this wine balances the fruit and the earthy tones to the point (IMHO) that it becomes indistinct and rather muddled. Quite drinkable, it paired with food without enhancing or taking from it. Perhaps it is over the hill.
