Winemaker's Notes:

From two of the most respected growers in California, our Battuello Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the valley floor in St. Helena, while our Windsor Oaks Vineyard Sangiovese dots a volcanic mountain top high in the Mayacamas. Diligent farming practices, low yields and patient winemaking combine for an elegant, pure expression of these two noble varietals. Cult Cabs beware, this well-balanced red is a study in moderation. With modest alcohol and restrained oak, we’ve let the vibrant young fruit sing in this medium-bodied crowd pleaser. It won’t scare your dinner off the table and, like a true “food” wine, it just goes with everything.
