Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

Intensives Granatrot.

Winemaker's Notes:

Mauro 2009, composed of 90% Tempranillo and 10% Syrah was bottled in June 2011 after spending 16 months in new and used French and American barrels. The 2009 vintage produced complex wine to enjoy now or to cellar.

Tasting Notes:

This is filled with intense black and blue fruits, nearly overripe but always stepping away from that precipice. The power of the fruit is matched by the intensity of the oak, but everything coheres and finds balance. The finish is lengthy, with vanilla, black fruits, and some racy red fruits as well.
