Mauro Molino Nebbiolo Barolo 2008

External Review by Premier Wine & Spirits:

The 2008 Barolo is a pretty, entry-level wine graced with exquisite finesse in its sweet red berries, flowers and spices. This is a classic La Morra Barolo with tons of early appeal. Floral notes add freshness on the refined finish. Anticipated maturity: 2012–2018.

Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Coconut Rice Sweet Potato Cheesecake

RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.

This red is both fresh and chewy, offering cherry, licorice, tar and soya flavors. Balanced, though the burly tannins need time to soften. Best from 2015 through 2028.

Full, soft and gentle, this is an approachable style of Barolo with bosky fruit and the whisky-like scent of oak. It’s juicy and warm, ready to serve with a Sunday roast.
