Funky and hot on first opening. Vigorous swirls reveal raspberry and cherry fruit, which develop with air. Silky texture, some drying, chalky tannins in the midpalate. More cherry and berry fruit, some spice. Funkiness remains, turning a tad chocolatey.Simple, drinkable, but not memorable. A good bargain choice if classic Pinot texture is one of the things you're looking for.

I liked this pinot. It started out a more fruity than I was expecting, but moved into a light earthy flavor with some spice as it sat. Was medium body and crisp with acidity.

    Vibrant cherry red in color, the nose exhibits sweet red berry fruit and perfumed floral aromas. The palate is soft, with sweet confectionary 'strawberries and cream' fruit balanced nicely with spicy toasted oak and fine tannins. The resulting palate has a delicate structure with length and complexity.
