Matua Valley First Frost Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Matua Valley Wines began as a small, family-run winery in West Auckland, New Zealand, in 1973. In the next few years, winemakers Ross and Bill Spence quickly gained a reputation for innovative, award-winning New Zealand wines - including the first New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc. Today, Matua Valley produces a wide range of distinctive wines, these innovative, award-winning New Zealand wines are now enjoyed all over the world
Clear, bright straw green hue, abundant aromas of lime, grapefruit pith, and gooseberry; racy flavor notes to match across a thick and viscous palate that carries to a long finish. Consistently great Kiwi SB value for grilled prawns, chilled oysters on the half shell or sippin' by the pool.

A Sauvignon Blanc wine from Marlborough in New Zealand. 2011 Matua Sauvignon Blanc 750ml
Light green in colour, passionfruit and citrus fruits fill the nose complimented by complexing flint. The palate is filled with tight passionfruit, melon and lemon fruit. This is all kept in check by the distinctive and chalky Marlborough acidity.
As with all fine wine sagas, that of Matua Valley is about people, about two brothers, Bill and Ross Spence, their families, and their dream of making wine finer than any of their contemporaries could imagine when they began in 1974.
Soft in colour with green hues, this Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc shows tropical and citrus fruits along with attractive herbaceous/varietal characters on the nose. The palate is generous and fruit driven with classical Marlborough acidity giving a fresh, clean palate and passionfruit finish. - WineryRegion: Marlborough, New ZealandVariety: 100% Sauvignon BlancResidual Sugar: 3.5g/LpH: 3.33Alcohol: 13.5% ** SOLD OUT **
