Matt Parish Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 2012

Member Review by puhnner:

A Naked Wines selection. Decanted it and let it breathe for about 20 minutes. Did improve as it opened. Seems an 'Old World' rather than 'New World', and in the end, a rather nothing minimal Cabernet, little to no oak, some alcohol fire, a bit of black fruit, though some nice spice and an interesting and pleasant Mole chocolate aftertaste. That said, well balanced, but not that much there to balance. Wonder if there is enough there to make this one any better after aging a bit - also at $35 list, but $16 Angel price, do not see it stacking up with others out there, particularly at the list price - steep. I have another bottle, so will see how that fares..
