Claudine Russel directs this small 3.5 ha domaine that produced its first harvest in 1999. The philosophy here is very much a less is more approach and Mme Russel told me that she wants the absolute minimum oak influence that she can get. Finesse and purity is what we're after; wood is a vessel for achieving those ends and is certainly not meant to be a flavoring agent, she forthrightly declares.
