User Reviews for Matius

Winemaker's Notes:

Percentage Grape: Monastrell, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon

Soil: Predominance of brown limestone soil and sandy-texture, except where the crust limestone is very superficial, high content of calcium carbonate. All these aspects contribute to the low production figures per vine (average of 1,5 kg), of our vineyards, which are old and mostly unirrigated.

Growing Climate: Weather The climate is a mixture between continental winter and Mediterranean summer, which implies a big thermal difference, from -10°c to over 35°c. It is therefore, an area with very cold winters and very hot summers. Precipitations In the South East of Spain we have the lower rain figures across the country due, largely, to the shelter produced by the Béticas Ridges. This mountain obstacle and the proximity of the Azores anticyclone lead to long periods of drought, on this particular region of the Country. Vines under Jumilla's Denomination of Origin are on the borderline between dry zones and subdesert zones, with an annual rainfall average of 30 Gallons per square meter

Malolactic: In french barrels

Bottle Type: Bordelesa Autor

Alcohol Percentage: 14.5 %

PH: 3.68

Aging Time: 6-7 months

Sugar Rate: 0-5 g/l

Total Acidity: 5.15

Free SO2: 24.86

Cork Material: Natural

Cork Size: 44 x 24 mm
