Matchbook Rose of Tempranillo 2011

Editorial Review by Gregory Dal Piaz:

A lot of melon greets the nose here, along with some ivy tones and floral spice notes. Light and fresh in the mouth, this is fairly transparent with a nicely delicate layer of raspberry fruit rubbed with dried orange peels and eucalyptus leaf. The eucalyptus inner-mouth perfume is unusual and lends this a rather holiday spice quality. The finish is a bit short with a slight pithiness about it. Some plummy fruit on the rather long finale. 86pts
