Matanzas Creek Winery Sauvignon Blanc Sonoma County 2004
"White Wine Sauvignon Blanc by Matanzas Creek from Sonoma County, California. The only bottle in the clearance stack retaining a yellow, unbrowned hue. Smells like cold roast turkey haha. Good minerality and salinity remain on the nose. Light citrus and melon. On the palate, bubblegum quality up front. Juicy mouth watering acidity remains. Guava, papaya, mango and other exotic fruits leaning into lychee. Grapefruit pith and melon notes. Taking on a Marsanne quality. This one lucked out and has aged very nicely for a Sonoma white wine. Good salinity and a balanced palate and nice mouthfeel. Drank 11/8/12 89 pts.
