Unbelievably rich, this tastes pretty much as excellent as the wineryandrsquo;s more expensive Chardonnays. It really dazzles with its complex flavors of tropical fruit, green apple, pear, buttered toast and honey. Itandrsquo;s all brightened by terrific acidity and wrapped into a creamy texture.

Greenish yellow. Focused, spicy aromas of honeysuckle, lemongrass, green almond and sweet butter. Nicely balanced on the palate, offering a supple, silky texture and flavors of ripe orchard and citrus fruits. Becomes spicier with air and finishes with good breadth and clarity. I like the blend of richness and energy here.

Ripe and rich with perfumed citrus notes of lemon and lime, this wine is structured and scented by oak. The wood gives it an edge to cut through a veal chop.

Young and tight, with an earthy, leesy touch to the concentrated apple, pear and honeysuckle flavors. Still a bit raw and pithy, but give this a little time. Best from 2012 through 2018. 257 cases made. -JL Wine Spectator. A Chardonnay wine from California in USA. 2009 Matanzas Creek Chardonnay 750ml

Winemaker's Notes:

Since 1977, Matanzas Creek Winery has been focused on creating balanced, elegant wines that are regarded as Sonoma County classics. The 2009 Bennett Valley Chardonnay is a fine example of what can be achieved when artisan winemaking techniques are applied to the marvelous bounty of Mother Nature.

Tasting Notes:

Pale honey in appearance the nose delivers notes of honeysuckle and quince followed by passion fruit and butterscotch. Mirroring its aromas, honeysuckle and quince flavors lead into hints of pear and passion fruit for a long and elegant finish.
