Masùt da Rive is an exclusive wine Italian Maison. The name was chosen to represent Gallo Family around the world and its origin comes from the historic name used to call the Family one century ago. Since the early 1900s, down four vine-dresser generations, Masùt da Rive has reaped a centuries-old experience that express today its highest Made in Italy’s identity. Fabrizio and Marco Gallo lead with passion and dedication the Maison Masut da Rive by preserving intact the traditions handed down from their father Silvano. They like to extend their knowledge of wines made by studying the latest innovations in the field, traveling the world collecting new stories and organizing exclusive tastings. The vineyards and the vinery are situated in Mariano del Friuli, a small rural town dipped in the plain along Isonzo, the generous river of water and minerals. Its name identifies the Protected Geographical Status DOC Isonzo of which Masut da Rive is part of. In this area you can breathe a Central European air with the neighbors Austria and Slovenia. Not far away we look at the Adriatic Sea and the nearby Trieste and 100 km away is Venice, the city of Art. The cultivation of grapes is expanded over 22 hectares of owned vineyards with constantly supervised by experienced wine growers. The harvesting of grapes allows to realize a limited and kept down amount of wine in favour of a selective and high quality production. Particular attention is devoted to two exclusive red wines: the elegant Pinot Noir, with a refined taste, and Semidis, characterized by intense perfumes. Both are produced only during the best vintages. In recognition of the good work, this year the Maison has received a recommendation for the Pinot Nero and the bronze medal for the Semidis by Decanter Asia Wine award 2012. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.
