User Reviews for Mastroberardino Greco di Tufo Nova Serra

Winemaker's Notes:

To call Mastroberardino a leading Campanian producer is to do it an injustice, for the Campanian wine industry as we know it would not exist without Mastroberardino. For over two hundred years, it has championed local specialities, and has thus been instrumental in preserving Taurasi, Greco di Tufo, Fiano di Avellino and their ilk into the twenty-first century. The vineyard situated in Montefusco has a southern exposure and chalky mid-mixture soil. It is at 500 metres above sea level, and it is about twenty years old. The wine underwent classic white vinification in stainless steel tanks and at controlled temperatures. This 100% Greco di Tufo wine has prominent aromas of apricot, pears, almond, apple and mineral. It is smooth and minerally on the palate with notes of mature fruits.
