Mastroberardino Aglianico Campania IGT 2009

Winemaker's Notes:

89 points Antonio Galloni (Wine Advocate): The 2009 Aglianico is a flashy, overt wine packed with fruit. It is perhaps slightly less complex and varietally nuanced than the Lacryma Christi but nearly as pleasing. The estate's Aglianico is a good introduction to this grape. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2017. (Jun 2011)

Aglianico is the great red grape of southern Italy, and Mastroberardino makes some of the finest in existence. This unoaked example is full of bright red and dark berries and truly dances on the palate.
