User Reviews for Massiera Pietrosa Verdeca

Winemaker's Notes:

A masseria is a farm in Puglia, and the term pietrosa means ‘stony’ which applies to the low vigour soil on this estate. This estate is part of the co-operative at San Marzano, and the wines are made by Filippo Baccalaro. As a result, they are fresh and clearly varietal. The Verdeca is a revelation. Light gold in colour with brilliant youthful green tints this wonderful creation is aromatic and forward on the nose, with perfumes of white flowers, green apples and a touch of honey. On the palate it has a lovely balance between ripe, aromatic fruit and a lively fresh finish.
