Cherries, black currant on the nose. The bitter bite of the Negroamaro grape is evident on the swirl with a medium bodied and layered structure that reveals sour cherry and a hint of chocolate. The astringency of the tannin’s in combination with the bite of the Negroamaro is a bit overpowering for those not so inclined. A decent enough wine, but simply not my cup of tea. 85.
