The 2009 andldquo; The Moonlight Runandrdquo; is a blend of 54% Grenache, 24% Shiraz, 16% Mataro and 6% Cinsault, coming from vineyards ranging from 85 to 160 years old. Deep garnet colored with a hint of purple, it displays aromas of warm black raspberries, mulberries, cinnamon stick, white pepper, orange peel and potpourri. Full-bodied and packed with warm berry and spice flavor layers, it has a medium level of velvety tannins, medium-high acid and a long, spicy finish. Delicious now, it should cellar to 2018+.
Soft, supple and appealing for its spicy black cherry and tropical fruit flavors, hinting at licorice as the open-weave finish lingers. Grenache, Shiraz, Mataro and Cinsault. Drink now through 2015.
Bright purple. Intensely perfumed aromas of red and dark berry preserves, potpourri and olive, with smoke and cracked pepper accents. Smells vaguely like a ripe wine from the northern Rhone. Deep, palate-coating black raspberry and boysenberry flavors show impressive intensity and a bright floral quality. The floral note carries through a very long, sappy and appealingly sweet finish, which shows no rough edges. This is the most successful bottling of this wine Irsquo;ve had to date; the grapes are sourced from vines that reportedly average 85 to 150 years of age.

Dark red. Exotically perfumed aromas of raspberry, cherry compote, cola and smoky minerals. Deep in flavors but focused and energetic, offering vivid red fruits and zesty minerality. Finishes with vivacious red fruit notes, fine-grained tannins and refreshing cut.
Featuring a complex blend of cherry fruit, herbal overtones and hints of cinnamon and green peppercorn, this is exciting just to smell. Then similar flavors unroll across the palate, which is full, round and welcoming. For all its complexity, this is easy to drink, which should make it appealing to experts and novices alike. Drink nowndash;2011.
