Winemakers Notes

"Pomelo is the name of a new and separate wine label made by Randy Mason. It is 100% Sauvignon Blanc. Very good SB. Crisp, clean, and citrusy with a freshness that was not at all harsh or acidic. Slightly spritzy on first tasting the wine. Great for summer parties, light fare, fish. Had with poached salmon and herb sauce.

Consistent with last tasting note, this is a light and refreshing sauvignon blanc with a touch of spritz and loads of grapefruit. Had it with Indian-style chicken and couscous and it was fantastic. An SB heading off into Gewurz territory. And yes, it was hot out, so that may have played into the reaction! Not 100% characteristic of varietal, but I'm giving it high points anyway.
