Bonacosta is a thin and easy-going Valpolicella that makes a food-friendly companion to pasta, sliced ham appetizers and barbecued hamburger. It offers sharp fruit tones followed by crisp freshness.
This 2000 offers up bright red cherries, and just a hint of mint tea in its light-styled blend. Try with vegetable lasagna.
Winemaker Notes - Medium intensity cherry red with edges still youthful. Intense cherry aromas on the nose, very inviting and attractive combined with hints of violets. Instantly noticeable freshness on the palate, with good supporting acidity and excellent balance marked by soft and silky tannins. The biggest fruit component is cherries sweetened with touches of vanilla.

Masi production strategy aims to emphasize the personality of each single product, while maintaining a recognisable Venetian style. It is as congenial as a brother's house (Hemingway). Masi makes this modern-styled wine from traditional Veronese grape varieties (Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara). This is excellent with many dishes, from soups to grilled meats. It is also delicious with pasta. On the nose, there are aromas of violets, roses and mint combined with cherries and spices such as cinnamon and cloves. Well-structured, fresh and full-bodied.
