Masi Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Serego Alighieri Vaio Armaron(1997)

On 23rd April 1353 Pietro Alighieri, son of Dante, bought his first estates in Gargagnago in the heart of Valpolicella Classica.
To celebrate 650 years of their presence in this area, the Serego Alighieri family decided to make a Valpolicella of extraordinary structure and character. Only the best grapes were selected from hillside vineyards within the historical Possessioni. The resulting wine was given a double fermentation using semi-dried grapes of the same varieties. Maturation in cherry wood casks, following family tradition, enhances the elegance of this wine.
