Masi Amarone Campolongo 2006
Aromas are spell-binding of nuts, spices, dried flowers and dried fruits. This is an amazing wine with such depth of fruit and chewy, velvety tannins. It is big, yet agile with wonderful texture and layers of fruit. It goes on for minutes. The structure is mind-boggling, yet so polished. The mouthfeel is amazing and most likely from the volcanic soil of the best grapes from the vineyard of Campolongo...98" JS 5/13

Editorial Reviews for Masi Amarone Campolongo
Smoky, soil driven and a bit woody on the nose with some olive notes adding additional complexity. This is soft, seductive, and just a little chewy in the mouth. Full of dark fruit, a bit of coffee here and fine mineral notes. There’s good clarity on the palate and the finish features persistent tobacco, dried herb, and dried citrus complexity. This is complex though there could be more fruit here and more energy in the mouth, which is a touch dull. 90pts
