Weekly Wine Picks: Imported Rose/ The small southern French appellation Les Baux de Provence is the first to demand that all wines be produced biodynamically. This very light pink wine, a blend of Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault, is edgy but not severe, with light, racy flavors of pink grapefruit and hints of mint.

Tasting Highlights: Outstanding full-bodied reds from some of southern France’s top producers and the latest rosés from Provence/ Berry and melon flavors fill this peppery rosé; red peach and spice carry the rich finish.

Rose du Mas 2011 - 87 points, Wine & Spirits/ This is pleasantly rustic, its sweet cherry and strawberry flavors slightly jammy, scented with thyme and rosemary. It would be delicious with roast pork, especially a fattier cut larded with herbs.

Rose du Mas 2008 - Year's Best & Best Buy, Wine & Spirits/ Salty minerality draws out the strawberry taffy flavors of this organically grown rose, lively acidity keeping it lifted. Give it a few months to settle down, then serve with a rosemary-larded pork tenderloin. Listed among the Year's Best Rose.
