Whew! Give this guy a breather before you sniff or sip. A half-hour in the decanter and a bit of swirling made its deep red color and earthy tones more inviting . . . and after even longer it's quite tasty! I'm glad we didn't keep this in the cellar any longer, at 8 years old it was turning a bit rusty. We found it to be an interesting and inexpensive way to try the French "country wine" style.
