Mas de Gourgonnier les Baux de Provence Rosé 2018

Winemaker's Notes:

Appearance: Pale pink pale dress. Beautiful intensity, very trendy. Aroma: Gourmand nose with sweet notes reminiscent of the fair classy. Nice nose in harmony with the robe. Flavor: Very elegant on the palate, sweet notes with the same impression as the nose. Nice balance between acidulous notes and a round finish. Very greedy wine. Pairings: As an aperitif. With a quail with grapes or grilled meats. For dessert with a salad of red fruits, a charlotte of strawberry-raspberry or iced nougat.

Lovely and complex on the nose with all sorts of leafy herb, floral and spice framed astringent red berry fruit. A bit soft on entry, and very easy to drink, this shows a hint of minerality early on the palate, along with creamy red fruits that are very approachable. the acid pops a bit on the backend, along with raspberry fruit, but i think this is softer than previous versions, with just a whisper of tannin emerging on the simple, tart finish. 85pts

Aromas and flavors of earthy dried Strawberry. Maybe a subtle hint of dried black plum. A very good Rose that shows the difference between European and American wines. (France and California). Definitely worth trying and would buy it again. BM.

Aromas suggest Provencal lavender, thyme and rosemary, with plums and black raspberries enlivened with a pinch of white pepper. The mouth delivers spiced cherries and plums, with hints of ginger and bass notes of dark chocolate. Deliciously complex-an autumn warmer and a bottle that demands great food and great company.
