Mas de Daumas Gassac Reserve de Gassac Rose 2012
The famed Guibert family of Languedoc have been making stunning wines for years and more recently they introduced a rose to their range with equally great success. The fruit quality is key to Guibert wines and this is no different when they make rose. Plum, redcurrants and a touch of raspberry and vanilla make this a delightful summer wine to enjoy well chilled. This wine completes what we now considder to be the perfect rose selection. If you like rose then you can trust Hannibal, we only list great wines!
Way back in 780 CE, Charlemagne’s advisor, Saint Benedict of Aniane, founded the first vineyard in the Gassac valley. Indeed, there are good reasons to believe that he introduced Charlemagne to some of the valley’s early wines. Thus, in common with most truly great wines, the Daumas Gassac Grands Crus were born under the aegis of a prestigious Abbey.
