Mas de Boislauzon Tintot Chateauneuf du Pape Mourvedre 2010

External Review by JJ Buckley Fine Wines:

The opaque black/purple-colored 2010 Chateauneuf du Pape Le Tintot possesses enormous concentration as well as lots of garrigue, new saddle leather, blueberry and blackberry fruit intermixed with a hint of roasted meats. This huge, bigger-than-life 2... Robert Parkers Wine Advocate. A Mourvedre wine from Rhone in France. 2010 Mas de Boislauzon Chateauneuf du Pape, Tintot 750ml

This 100 Percent Mourvedre from Mas De Boislauzon really knocked our socks off at a 2010 Chateauneuf tasting - absolutely gorgeous fruit profile complimented by mushroom and coffee notes.

Opaque purple. Intensely perfumed aromas of black raspberry, Asian spices, anise and vanilla. Pliant and sweet on the palate, offering lively red and dark berry flavors that become deeper and smokier with air. Dusty tannins give grip to an impress... Stephen Tanzers IWC. (100% mourvedre from vines averaging 70 years of age) Saturated purple. Explosively aromatic nose offers dark fruit spice floral and herb aromas along with a bright mineral urgency. Smoky cherry and cured meat flavors are brightened by zesty minerality which adds vivacity to the long spicy finish. Impressively energetic and precise. This will be interesting to follow. 91-94 points Stephen Tanzers IWC.
