I just tasted this wine today up here in Seattle and, as usual with this producer, the wine is both rich and powerful while remaining elegant and graceful..From start to finish(which BTW lasts for a good minute) this wine never lets you down. The flavors skip along happily as the summer ripened cherry and blackberry flavors as well as well as those lovely provencial weeds we call lavender and rosemary, remind you of delicious childhood memories.. If in fact you can get this wine for this advertised price of $15 bucks..well....the DUH...grab as many as you find..A great producer, a great pedigree, a great vintage..wow, a great deal for sure...

The opaque ruby/purple-hued 2009 Chateauneuf du Pape is a strong, rich, concentrated effort displaying plenty of black and red fruit, licorice and barbecue smoke characteristics and beautiful density, texture and purity.
