Vintage: 2008 10/16/2010

Nice lemon, ctirus with some tropical honey notes on the nose. Nice acidity on the first impression but it transits into something very dry and what seems over alcoholed. Im not sure what the conditions were like for the grape, but it seemed green. Maybe bad storage? Dont chill it to death though, or else those tropical notes won't be as visible. Dry-ish finish which may be from the minerality. Eitherway, not a good buy, got it for $11.

Greatly impressed with this $10 bottle of 2008 Viognier from Maryhill. Huge honey notes with more subtle pear, apricot, and melon. Medium bodied and very smooth. I drank the bottle by itself- no food pairing so I can't comment specifically. I will purchase a half-case by the end of the week.
