A fabulous red, deep floral and berry nose with a black cherry taste, very mild tannins with a smokey finish. Maryhill Winery was the Washington State Winery of the year in 2009 and no wonder, their Winemakers Red is a mellow treat. It is a well balaced beautiful red for any occasion.
Bright red fruits. Tasted at Geneva wine tasting 4/18/2010.
Not super flavorful... awkwardly sharp on the back of the pallet.... I bought the bottle for $12 but feel it is comprable with a 8-9$ bottle. Note the bottle I had was 2010.
Experienced over the July 4th weekend, at the winery in Goldendale. Terroir, terroir, terroir. Earthy, Ponderosa pine aroma wafting on the warm air currents that propel wind surfers through the Columbia River Gorge. Don't just taste it, experience it!
Seems to be a nice mid-week wine. Great for mixed grills, pizza, and the like. I enjoy this wine the most when sitting back with the wife and watching movies at home.
