($50) Medium ruby, not particularly bright. Cassis, blackberry, cracked pepper and minerals on the nose, along with a faint meaty nuance. Dense and rich, with very purple flavors of dark, wild fruits and meat. Offers a silky texture and nicely integrated acidity. But still a bit youthfully tough, and firm-edged on the back.
