Martinborough Vineyard Te Tera Pinot Noir 2008

External Review by Premium Wine & Spirits:

Save (at least $5) by going New Zealand over Oregon and you will definitely be rewarded for your frugality! The Martinborough Te Tera Pinot is as bright and juicy as any domestic Pinot resonating with deep black cherry chocolate-covered strawberry and ripe red raspberry fruit flavors. Soft and approachable but ringing with bright lively acidity. Perfect for pairing with tuna steaks or smoked salmon appetizers.

Internationally acclaimed wine writers and judges Bob Campbell MW of New Zealand, Huon Hooke of Australia and Michael Fridjhon of South Africa selected the best wines of each variety from their own country. The judging is then done blind by the three selectors along with Chairman of judges Robert Joseph, to rate the wines in their order of preference. Read less
Suggested Recipe Pairing presented by
Layered Rice Pudding

RiceSelect's fragrant Jasmati® is blended with eggs, milk and fall's favorite spices, cinnamon and nutmeg, to create a delicious rice pudding, which is layered on top of fluffy cream cheese and abuttery pecan crust. Pairs well with a bold, tawny port with flavors of dried fruits, nuts, and spices.

A more approachable version of their famous estate Pinot, the Te Tera boasts rich, ripe fruits and elegant spice notes, with just a faint hint of oak on the finish. This wine could hold its own against your favorite Oregon Pinots!
