Martinborough Vineyard Pinot Noir New Zealand 2008

Winemaker's Notes:

Located in the township of Martinborough in the southern Wairarapa, this beautiful property has been producing precise, elegant wines from cool climate vineyards since 1980. Martinborough Vineyard is rightfully famous for its stunning Pinot Noir where free draining soils, hot summers and reliable long dry autumn are ideally suited to cool climate varieties. The winery has also garnered kudos for its Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Riesling. Winemaker Claire Mulholland was quick to embrace low-yielding, sustainable farming methods to preserve the character of the land and enhance the pure, varietal essence of each wine. Under Claires guidance Martinborough Vineyard was granted certification.
