Martin Ray Pinot Noir 2006
No mistaking this wine for anything but Pinot Noir! Its got the hallmark ripe sweet cherry and strawberry aromas in the bouquet with vanilla and spice adding layers of complexity. This is a great Pinot Noir. It has many of the flavors and characteristics we love from some of the great pinots, like William Seylem, Sea Smoke and Mueller. A must have at this price point, which is totally reasonable. Slightly fruit forward but not sweet, a light earthiness like a Burgundian pinot. V.
A very "pretty" wine. A good value. Lovely nose, and the plum and blackberry flavors were very dominant. Paired very nicely with (of all things) turkey meatloaf.
