Martin Codax Ergo Tempranillo Rioja 2011
Ergo is a contemporary expression of the classic Spanish grape, Tempranillo, with its vibrant red fruit aromas, juicy texture and lingering finish. Not yet reviewed; 2010 vintage rated 87 points by Wine Spectator and Robert Parker, who wrote: Even better is the dark ruby/plum-tinged 2010 Ergo Rioja, a blend of 86% Tempranillo and 14% Garnacha aged in tank and American oak. This delicious, fruit-forward Rioja exhibits plenty of berry fruit and new saddle leather characteristics intermixed with hints of tobacco leaf and licorice. Medium-bodied and fresh, it can be drunk over the next several years.
