Martín Códax Albariño Rías Baixas Burgáns 2005
Very aromatic on the nose..hints of apple, peach and citrus....and I think almonds. Nice flavour profile on the mouth-feel, very refreshing. Was my first Albarino and we be buying more...was a great pairing with ahi tuna and prawns. 88Add winemaker's notes

Nice, my first albarino. Distinctly different than other whites I drink, notable Sauvignon Blanc and Chenin blank. I get some lush fruitiness and a little spice. Long lasting finish, looking forward to searving to guests with some spicy camarones!
A good wine. Light and fruity. A good match with a fruit salad or another light meal. A great find at the price.
i really love this wine, and i'm not much for whites. but this is wonderful with a fish dish, either spicy or tossed up with some zesty veggies. the tropical fruits in this wine really make it stand out from the more grapefruit nature that a lot of albarinos can have. this one has a bit more starfruit, peaches, and a hit of minerals on the finish that give it a lightly sweet edge. best on a summer's eve with friends.
