Marquis Phillips Shiraz 9 6 2006
2006 Marquis Phillips Shiraz The 2006 Shiraz was barrel-fermented and aged in predominantly American oak for 12 months. It offers up fragrant aromas of cedar, smoke, tar, blueberry, and blackberry liqueur. Full-bodied, opulent, and structured, this intense, well-balanced Shiraz will evolve for 2-3 years and drink well through 2016. It is an excellent value. Robert Parker Wine Advocate # 173Oct 2007
Hi-C meets Cherry Blow-Pop meets Pixie Stick meets a Juicy Tomato. You get the idea, but rockin' for a laid-back night with pizza.
Full-bodied, fruit forward shiraz with ripe berry flavors - bargain price for such a big wine.
jasonkauf nailed it
Shiraz doesn't get better than this. Bold, Rich, and chocolaty.
Lots of immediate spice but offers a good deal of complexity on the finish. A great first wine for our weekly tasting group.
