Deep purple with slight fade towrds rim, and medium thick legs. Meaty, vanilla, plum, nose with light black pepper and lush anise. Med-heavy mouthfeel withh noticeable alcohol that didn't distract from the taste. Soft tannins framed flavors of cherry, vanilla, blackberry, light spice and an overall lush richness. [NR]

Very fleshy, robust aroma. Wine starts off sweet, velvety, dark fruits with dark chocolatey finish. Very smooth tannins. The next day, the wine opened up more and had an herbal quality about it. Very complex. I enjoyed it all around!

Our master blender, Sarah, put this wine together. She has the amazing ability to taste at a lot of different components of wine and then without even putting them together on the tasting bench, to select parcels that will marry harmoniously and with maximum complexity, all in her mind. The final blend for this wine is 48 % Shiraz 29 % Cabernet and 23 % Merlot, with the fruit being sourced from Padthaway, McLarenVale and Middleton SA using 15 different oak treatments.
