Marquis Philips Red Blend Roogle Red 2004
This wine is peppery, showing off the lead grape of shiraz. It was somewhat spicy and mineral-y at the same time.
Tasty, but getting a little harshness this bottle. Perhaps not stored properly. Still, it was quite good, and an excellent quaffer with outstanding QPR at $9!
Nice Shiraz/Cabernet blend. Earthiness, with great fruit and integration. Not bad for a $12 bottle. Excellent - 88 points.
Translucent ruby, watery aromas of plants and fruits. Thin, fruity flavors with a peppery kick but a smooth, soft finish. Pairings: Good with bigger flavors like morrocan or souther barbeque
This OZ blend (80% Shiraz for a ripe fruitiness, and 20% Cab Sauv for firm tannins) is well structured, with a perfect dark color, and a sensuous aroma of dark berries. The palate reveals subtle hints of chocolate covered cherries, with perfect velvety tannins on the smooth creamy finish. Overall a 90+ point wine - incredibly drinkable, and enjoyable.
