Marqués de Griñón Syrah Dominio de Valdepusa 2002
The Marqués de Griñon estate, in the family since 1292, was the first in Spain to be granted its own D.O. or Denominación de Origen – Spain’s highest vineyard rating. The non-traditional estate wines are from international varietals, using cutting-edge viticulture and winemaking techniques – the results have received international acclaim.
Smooth blackberry flavours, medium tannins with some spice. Almost jammy . An enjoyable and drinkable wine. Medium to full bodied. Not sure it will keep, so drink & enjoy now. I paid £10 which is good value for this wine 13.5% alcohol
I love this wine. It has a very sophisticated taste. If you like the bold, robust flavor of Shiraz, you will love this one.

Dark red. Vanilla-accented cherry and cassis on the nose, with exotic incense and baking spice character. Medium-bodied dark fruit flavors are gently firmed by dusty tannins, which carry through a bright, clean, sweet finish. Nicely made, especially in light of the vintage. ** SOLD OUT **
Wine Tasting NotesDeep ruby color with purple hues. Elegant nose with pepper, clove, smoky and rich dark berry aromas. Packed with layers of wild red fruits amidst mineral and spicy notes. Complex with plenty of ripe fruit backed up by soft tannins, with remarkable fruit finish and overall balance.
