Marqués de Griñón Red Blend Dominio de Valdepusa Eméritus 2000
Emeritus means deserving in Latin. The wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from our pioneering vineyard planted in 1974, and from the first Syrah and Petit Verdot plots in all of Spain. The varietals are aged separately for 12-15 months, the best barrels are selected, then blended and aged and additional 12-14 months.
The Marqués de Griñon estate, in the family since 1292, was the first in Spain to be granted its own D.O. or Denominación de Origen – Spain’s highest vineyard rating. The non-traditional estate wines are from international varietals, using cutting-edge viticulture and winemaking techniques – the results have received international acclaim.
RiceSelect's creamy Arborio gets blended with sweet potato, coconut milk and vanilla to create this decadent cheesecake. Pairs well with Saunternes; a white dessert wine that has hints of coconut from aging in oak barrels.
